Digital maturity has accelerated beyond transformation, and the bar is now higher as business leaders and investors are looking for ongoing viable growth built on a digital-first strategy. Organizations will still transform but this is no longer the primary focus as we are now entering what IDC has identified as the Digital Business Era. Transformations are being superseded by purposeful long-term goals focused on business outcomes built on a digital foundation of data and digital technologies leveraged by an intelligent enterprise.
